I see the blogpost here - Arifureta - From Commonplace to World's Strongest Season 3 Streams 1st Promo Video (https://www.animenewsnetwork.com/news/2024-04-21/arifureta-from-commonplace-to-world-strongest-season-3-streams-1st-promo-video/.210066)
The Arifureta: From Commonplace to World's Strongest Season 3 promotional material gave me the impression that the anime was entering a much more ambitious stage of Hajime's journey rather than simply repeating the basic formula of the earlier seasons. The important thing to remember is that Season 3 is no longer an upcoming season in 2026: it originally premiered in October 2024, ran for 16 episodes, and concluded in February 2025. Crunchyroll reported that the season was scheduled to begin on October 14, 2024, with the full 16-episode run planned. The official promotional videos are interesting because they emphasize the growing scale of the adventure while still retaining the combination of action, fantasy, comedy, and Hajime's increasingly confident personality that fans expect from Arifureta. The first official trailer announced the Fall 2024 release and highlighted Hajime and his classmates continuing their journey through the fantasy world. Later promotional material showed the party moving toward another Great Labyrinth, with Crunchyroll specifically noting the new trailer and visual associated with that next stage of their adventure. What I personally like about these promotional videos is that they communicate scale without completely explaining why everything is happening. For an anime such as Arifureta, that is important because part of the fun is watching the characters' abilities and relationships develop rather than knowing every major event before watching it. Season 3 also introduced new opening and ending songs partway through its run, reinforcing the feeling that the season had several distinct stages. Overall, I think the promotional campaign succeeded at reminding existing fans why they were interested while giving newcomers an impression of a larger fantasy adventure. It may not change someone's opinion if they disliked the style of the previous seasons, but for people already invested in Hajime and his group, the Season 3 videos did a good job of signaling that the story was continuing to expand.
