Is "Fatima" Becoming More Than Just a False Name?

One intriguing fan theory about Jaadugar: A Witch in Mongolia is that Sitara's decision to use the name Fatima may eventually become much more important than simply being a disguise.

At first, the idea seems straightforward. Sitara loses almost everything when the Mongol army destroys her home, and she eventually enters the Mongol political world under the name of the woman who once protected her. The official story describes this transformation directly: Sitara takes the name "Fatima" and uses her intelligence to infiltrate the royal court.

But fans could interpret this as something more symbolic.

Fatima was the person who gave Sitara a home and helped create the foundation of her intellectual life. Muhammad also taught Sitara that knowledge could help her find a way forward regardless of what happened to her. When Sitara adopts Fatima's name, she may therefore be carrying much more than a false identity. She is carrying Fatima's ideals into a world that destroyed her previous life.

The theory is that Sitara might eventually become so closely associated with the name "Fatima" that the distinction between her real identity and her adopted identity becomes increasingly complicated.

This would fit the central theme of the series particularly well. Sitara does not possess overwhelming physical power. Her weapon is knowledge. The official introduction specifically describes her as using her intellect to infiltrate the royal court and attempt to bring down the empire from within.

So perhaps "Fatima" represents the intellectual person Sitara wants to become rather than merely the person she pretends to be.

There is an especially interesting possibility here: what if Sitara eventually has to choose between preserving Fatima's identity and revealing her own?

If her reputation as a knowledgeable woman grows, people may begin associating "Fatima" with a particular personality, political position and intellectual legacy. At that point, abandoning the name could potentially mean abandoning part of the influence she has built.

The theory becomes even more interesting because Sitara's relationship with Töregene develops around shared suffering and political strategy. The official story describes the two women as having separate histories of hatred toward the Mongol Empire before eventually joining forces.

Perhaps Töregene is one of the few people who could eventually understand the difference between Sitara and "Fatima."

In that interpretation, the name becomes almost like a second character. Fatima represents the education Sitara inherited, while Sitara represents the person who transforms that education into action.

There is no confirmation that the story will take this route. But it makes the name "Fatima" worth watching carefully. What initially looks like a practical disguise could become one of the clearest symbols of how Sitara's past continues to influence everything she does.
