Genshin Impact: How to Easily Defeat the "All-Devouring Narwhal"? Phase 2 Mechanics and Team Recommendations

Many Travelers feel frustrated when progressing through the Fontaine storyline, particularly when facing the "All-Devouring Narwhal." They often struggle with the transition from the seemingly simple first phase to the second phase, where the difficulty spikes dramatically. However, by mastering the core mechanics and assembling a suitable team, you can clear the encounter smoothly.
Core Mechanics Analysis:
During the second phase, the All-Devouring Narwhal enters a special state and spawns multiple phantoms on the battlefield. Players must destroy these phantoms within a limited time. Failure to clear them in time results in the boss recovering a significant amount of HP and unleashing a massive, arena-wide attack.
Strategies:

Team Composition: Characters capable of rapid multi-hit attacks or wide-range AoE damage—such as Neuvillette, Hu Tao, or Yoimiya—are highly recommended. Including a shielder (like Zhongli or Layla) effectively prevents minor enemies from interrupting your rhythm while you are busy dealing with the phantoms.
Combat Strategy: Upon entering the second phase, do not rush to attack the boss's main body. Prioritize targeting the phantoms at the edge of the arena, using Elemental Skills or Elemental Bursts to clear them quickly. Once cleared, the boss will collapse into a brief weakened state; this is the moment to unleash all your burst abilities for maximum damage.
Movement Tips: When dodging the boss's charging attacks, try to move laterally. Utilize the invincibility frames (i-frames) during your dash to avoid damage while conserving enough stamina for subsequent offensive maneuvers.
